Writing the role
Explain the decisions the person will make.
Credentials matter in many research and regulated roles, but they are only part of the picture. A candidate also needs to know which judgments the work requires and what kind of previous work would demonstrate those skills.

Common questions about quantum jobs
Do all quantum jobs require a physics degree?
No. Quantum work includes physics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, manufacturing, product work, and other fields. The education and experience you need depend on the job, the hardware, and the problem being solved.
A good job description explains the actual work and the skills needed to do it. The word quantum is not specific enough on its own.
Why are quantum job titles difficult to compare?
The same title can refer to different hardware, software, scientific methods, or stages of development. To compare two roles, look at the responsibilities, tools, working environment, and experience each one requires.
Does Quantum Insiders operate a job board today?
No. We do not publish jobs or candidate profiles, and we do not offer recruiting or placement services. The talent page explains a problem we are studying, not a product that is available today.
